Q: Why BeCandle?

A: BeCandle begins with one’s spirit of experiment to a team of passionate artisans, the fragrance together with the vibration of Sai Kung, an old town in Hong Kong. A decade of focus on sourcing the best materials, aiming to create high quality fragrance products for customers, all infused in each product that you love and enjoy.

Q: What are your candles made out of?

A: BeCandle’s candles are made out of a mixture of soy and vegetal wax, lead-free cotton wick, fine fragrances, and essential oil.

Q: Can I refill a candle with a container of my choice? 

A: Yes. Please make sure your container's material and shape is heat-resistant and suitable for a refill. The price for refillery is $0.8HKD per gram. The refilled candles will be ready for pick-up in 7 working days.

Q: Can I return the containers once I am done with them?

A: Certainly. You may return the containers in our Sai Kung shop, and enjoy a 10% off discount on your next purchase.

 

Candle Specification

Q: How should I maintain my candle?

A: To avoid candle tunneling

  • Let it burn until the candle surface is melted: It should take at least 1-2 hours each time.

To preserve quality

  • Do not burn your candle longer than 4 hours.

To prevent a large frame and container blackening

  • Always trim your candle wick to 5mm to 1cm before each burn.

To avoid heat damage to the surface

  • Do not burn the candles below 5mm from the base.

Q: How long do the candles last?

Q: Are BeCandle’s products pet safe?

A: All BeCandle’s products are made with an intention for safe use to adults, children, and pet alikes. BeCandle’s products are not tested on animals, for best results, all products should be used under the directions from the product’s warning label. Since each pet has a different sensitivity and tolerance to their environment, should any concern arise about using BeCandle’s products around pets, please consult veterinarians directly. 

Q: Is “natural” ingredients or essential oils safer? 

A: Not necessarily. BeCandle manufactures candles with ingredients that are certified to be safe and approved for use in candles. (e.g IFRA certified fragrance).

Order and Shipping

Q: Do you ship internationally?

A: Yes, we do. BeCandle offers shipment globally. Shipment charges apply and vary, you may see the shipping charge on the check out.

Q: How long is the dispatch time?

A: BeCandle takes 7 working days to process and dispatch the order.

Q: Can I change my order after submission?

A: If you would like to make any change to an order you have placed, please contact us as soon as possible at info@becandle.com.hk,  with your Order Confirmation Email. Once your order status has changed to “SHIPPED”, no changes can be made.

Q: How can I trace my order?

A: Once your order is dispatched, BeCandle will send you a Shipment Notification by email with the information of the courier used and the tracking number of your order in it.  (check your spam folder in case you did not receive a notification).

Q: What if I get an incorrect item or damage item?

A: Please contact us at info@becandle.com.hk within 3 days of receipt, stating the problem and attach relevant photos if possible.
