Caterina De' Medici - Renaissance Collection
EDP Perfume By Spezierie Palazzo Vecchio
FLORAL accord
Notes:
Mandarin, Chamomile, Jasmine, Tuberose, Styrax Officinalis Resin
This fragrance is dedicated to Caterina Sforza de’ Medici, one of the most remarkable women of the Renaissance. A ruler of Imola and Forlì, she was known not only for her strength and intelligence, but also for her extraordinary dedication to botanical, chemical, and cosmetic studies. At the end of the 15th century, she collected her recipes for perfumed waters, cosmetics, and natural remedies in the manuscript Experimenti de la Exellentissima Signora Caterina da Furlj.
Inspired by one of these ancient recipes, Dr. Di Massimo created his first perfume as a tribute to her story. Chamomile meets the citrus brightness of Mandarin and the intense floral character of Tuberose, while Benzoin, a precious Styrax resin with warm, almost vanilla-like nuances, lends the fragrance an oriental and subtly provocative depth.
Sensual and commanding, tender yet decisive, ancient yet modern, the fragrance evokes the feminine beauty immortalised by Botticelli in Primavera. A perfume for the days of every modern queen.
